Installation method and operation flow of diesel engine fire pump
一、 Installation of diesel engine fire pump
(before installing the diesel engine, please refer to the operation manual of the diesel engine, automatic control cabinet and water pump.)
1. Area and height of machine room:
After the diesel engine fire pump unit is installed in the engine room, there shall be at least 750mm passage at both sides of the unit and in front of the unit (end of fan and water tank) for inspection and maintenance of the operator.
The height of the computer room is 4-6m (effective height), depending on the unit height and whether there is lifting equipment.
2. Unit foundation of diesel engine fire pump:
The foundation of the unit mainly has three functions: supporting the quality of the whole unit, ensuring that the unit is in a horizontal state and absorbing vibration. The foundation of the unit adopts concrete structure. According to the length and width of the chassis, the length and width of the base are generally 150-250mm, and the depth is 300-600mm. The height of the foundation bolt extending out of the horizontal plane shall be about 2 times of the bolt diameter.
3. Ventilation and cleaning of diesel engine fire pump room:
The machine room with natural ventilation must have enough vents and vents, and its location must ensure that there is enough fresh air for the diesel engine to burn within the temperature limit. The water radiator takes the heat of circulating cooling water (off) and the heat released from the unit surface. If the natural ventilation does not meet the requirements, forced ventilation can be used to install fans and exhaust fans in the vent. The fan specification and selection of air inlet and outlet shall provide enough cold air for the diesel engine and take away the hot air in the engine room. The minimum intake volume of the unit shall be 6 times that of the diesel engine.
In order to keep the environment of the diesel engine fire pump room clean, grooves can be set in the middle of the unit foundation, and sewers can be set around the unit base to facilitate the flushing of sewage and diesel oil.
4. Arrangement of exhaust pipe and muffler:
The exhaust pipe must be connected outdoors. In order to avoid the large amount of heat generated by the exhaust pipe dispersed in the room, the exhaust pipe can be wrapped with asbestos material. At the same time, it can also reduce noise and protect operators. When the inner diameter of the exhaust pipe is within 5m of the pipe length, the inner diameter of the diesel engine exhaust pipe shall be determined. More than 5 meters. For every 5 meters of increase, the inner diameter of the exhaust pipe will increase by 10-15%. The bending radius of the whole exhaust pipe must be 2.5 times larger than the outer diameter of the exhaust pipe. The vibration of the pipeline system shall be avoided and the pressure on the diesel engine from the outside of the pipeline shall be reduced.
In order to reduce the noise of the unit, a muffler must be installed. If the engine room is close to the tank farm or other dangerous areas, fire extinguishers shall be used. In order to prevent rainwater and foreign matters from entering the exhaust pipe, the outlet of the exhaust pipe shall be provided with a rain cap or installed downward for 30 °.
5. Layout and installation of diesel engine fire pump pipeline:
To prevent damage to the diesel engine fire pump, please clean the pipeline before connecting the pump pipe. The inlet pipe and outlet pipe shall be supported by bracket instead of body.
The suction pipe of diesel engine fire pump shall be short and straight. The pipe diameter shall be greater than or equal to the pump suction diameter, and the elbow radius of the diesel engine fire pump suction pipe shall be as large as possible.
The joint surface between the diesel engine fire pump and the pipeline shall ensure good air tightness. In particular, the air intake must be tightly sealed and air should not be stored on the equipment.
The valve shall be set on the road of air inlet pipe, and the filter shall be installed in proper position, whether the pool is used for irrigation or water diversion.
Due to the start-up and emergency stop of the unit, the impact of water hammer is relatively large. In order to prevent water hammer impact and unit vibration from damaging connecting pipes and pumps, flexible joints must be installed between the inlet and outlet of pumps and pipes.
6. Power consumption of machine room:
If the automatic device includes preheating device (2.5kW) and automatic charging device (0.75KW), AC 220V, 3.5kw power supply must be installed near the control cabinet.
7. Installation of control cabinet:
The installation position of the automatic control cabinet is not allowed in front of the diesel radiator, because the hot gas of the radiator may affect the normal operation of the electrical appliances in the control cabinet.
The control cabinet shall be arranged on both sides of the unit as far as possible to facilitate the operation of the unit in manual state.
Cable connection is used between control cabinet and unit as well as between main and auxiliary group control cabinets, so cable trough or cable bridge must be set at corresponding position. The connection length between diesel engine and control cabinet shall not exceed 35m.
Due to transportation, hoisting and other reasons, the coaxiality of the diesel unit may be offset. Therefore, after installation on the basis of the unit, it is necessary to recheck the coaxiality of the unit. The tolerance of the different centrality on the two coupling circles is 0.1mm, and the tolerance of the non-uniformity of the end gap along the circumference is 0.3mm, so as to ensure the normal operation of the unit. )
二、 Use diesel engine fire pump set
Before using the diesel engine fire pump, please refer to the instructions of diesel engine, automatic control cabinet and water pump. In case of any objection, the operating instructions of diesel engine, automatic control cabinet and pump shall prevail.
(1) Function of automatic unit
1. Preheating of diesel engine fire pump cooling system (as required by the customer)
In order to ensure that the unit is put into operation at any time in cold climate, it is necessary to preheat the cooling water system of the unit. The preheating device adopts the electric heating preheating device (AC220V), and the water temperature can be controlled between 40 ℃ ~ 55 ℃. When the unit automatically starts the diesel engine after receiving the fire signal, it will automatically cut off the power supply of the preheating device. When the unit receives the fire elimination signal to stop the unit, it automatically turns on the power supply of the preheating device. During manual control, the preheating system can be stopped through the current breaker on the control screen.
2. Automatic start and input function
There is a manual / automatic switch on the main control screen. When the equipment needs to work in the automatic state, set the switch to the automatic state and turn on the corresponding automatic work indicator.
In the automatic state, the computer detects the automatic operation signal (fire alarm signal or pipe network low pressure signal), immediately input three startup programs, and then output the startup signal. After the startup is successful, first output the startup success signal, and then output the acceleration signal. During the speed increase period, the speed is increased from idle to rated speed, and the whole unit is in the state of fire-fighting operation. When the first startup is unsuccessful, the second and third startup programs are executed automatically at 5-second intervals. When the three starts are unsuccessful, the start failure signal is output and the automatic system is locked. After troubleshooting, turn on the power key switch and then turn on to unlock the door lock.
3. Automatic protection function
(1) Start protection: if the unit fails to start three times, the start failure signal will be output and the automatic operating system will be locked. The buzzer alarms and the alarm light flashes. Press the muffler button to keep quiet, the sound alarm disappears and the alarm indicator light turns into a plane light.
(2) High water temperature protection: in case of failure of water temperature ≥ 95 ℃ during the operation of the unit, the buzzer will give an alarm immediately, the alarm light will flash, press the mute button to mute, the audible alarm will disappear, and the alarm indicator light will become a flat light indication. At the same time, the diesel engine slows down and stops after a delay of 3 minutes.
(3) Oil pressure protection: in case of oil pressure ≤ 0.2MPa failure during operation, sound light alarm, buzzer alarm, alarm light flashing, press mute button, sound alarm disappears, and alarm indicator light is changed to flat light indicator. At the same time, the diesel engine slows down and stops immediately.
(4) Overspeed protection: if the unit speed is ≥ 1750rpm (rated speed: 10%), the unit will immediately send out an audible and visual alarm, the buzzer will sound, the alarm light will flash, press the mute key to mute, and the audible alarm will disappear. The alert indicator changes to a flat indicator. At the same time, the diesel engine slows down and stops immediately.
(5) Low oil level protection: during the operation of the unit, if the oil level is lower than the specified height, the buzzer will give an alarm immediately and the alarm light will flash. Press the mute button to mute, the sound alarm disappears, and the alarm indicator light changes to a flat light until the oil level returns to normal. If the oil level does not recover after 10 minutes, the buzzer will give an alarm immediately and the alarm light will flash. At the same time, the diesel engine slows down and stops after a delay of 3 minutes.
(6) Bottle type low voltage protection: when the unit is in the set standby state, when the battery voltage is lower than 22V (or 10V), the buzzer will give an alarm immediately, the alarm light will flash, the muffler button will be silenced, the sound alarm will disappear, and the alarm light will also change the indicator light until the voltage returns to normal.
(7) Low water level protection (optional): when the unit is in the centralized control state or operation state, when the water level of the fire pool is lower than the specified height, the buzzer will give an alarm immediately, the alarm light will flash, press the mute button, and the sound alarm will disappear. The alert indicator changes to a flat indicator and the diesel engine slows down and stops after a delay of 3 minutes.
The above alarm signals (1), (3) and (4) have self-locking function. The system can continue to work only after the field personnel remove the fault and reset the system.
Note: the above alarm function can be stopped or not according to the customer's requirements.
4. Automatic charging function
In order to ensure the start-up and control power consumption, the unit adopts two sets of charging devices. The self charging generator of diesel engine charges the battery during the normal operation of the unit. When the unit is in the standby state under the centralized control state, the floating charging device in the control cabinet charges the battery with 220 V AC to ensure the power consumption of the control panel. When the unit receives the start command, it will automatically cut off the floating charge device. When the device stops automatically, it is automatically combined with the floating charging device. The device has the functions of over-current, under voltage and short circuit protection.
5. Additional features
On the basis of the above basic functions, the emergency manual start switch, automatic inspection function, dual battery charging system and pressure recording function of the pipe network system can be added according to the needs of customers.
Preparation before taking effect
(1) Diesel engine fire pump:
Whether the connection of intake pipe of diesel engine is sealed and reliable
·Is the exhaust bellows free after installation?
·Have external water sources been prevented from entering the diesel engine from the exhaust pipe?
*Whether the exhaust pipe is clean and free of foreign matters
Is the computer room well ventilated?
Whether it is treated softened water or distilled water, it is the choice of cooling water.
·Is the water filling process completely exhausted with 5% of the tank space?
·Whether the connection of cooling pipeline is reliable without leakage
*Whether CC grade / CD oil with proper viscosity should be used for lubricating oil
Is the air inlet of the supercharger filled with clean oil?
Is the oil level added to the L / h of the oil gauge as required
·Is the fuel selected from 0 or 10 light diesel
·Whether the oil tank and pipeline meet the use requirements
*Does the battery meet the voltage and capacity requirements of the model starting motor
Whether the starter connecting wire meets the requirements
(2) Water pump:
Whether the pipeline system has been cleaned

(3) Operation of automation device
1. Manual operation of automatic device
(1) Unit start
Cut off floating charge and preheating device before starting.
a. Manual / automatic switch to manual gear;
B. The main switch is connected to the system power;
C. Press the start button until the diesel starts.
(2) Unit operation
With water diversion device:
One. Turn on the manual water diversion switch;
b. Press the acceleration button to increase the engine speed from idle to rated speed.
c. When the shunt is successful, turn off the manual shunt switch.
Without water diversion device:
When the engine is working at idle speed for a period of time, press the speed up button, and the engine speed will rise from idle speed to rated speed.
(3) Unit shutdown
A. The pump outlet valve shall be gradually closed to reduce the load.
Press the deceleration button to reduce the idle speed of the diesel engine;
c. Work at idle speed for 3-5 minutes, then press the stop button until the diesel engine stops working.
2. Automatic operation of automatic units
Switch the manual / automatic switch to the automatic gear to make the automatic device work automatically. At the same time, set the clutch switch to the on position. Turn on the power switch.
When the unit detects the automatic operation signal (fire signal), the unit will automatically start the workflow as follows: (with water diversion device)
Automatic operation signal (fire alarm signal) detected. The starting signal output of the automatic charging circuit and the cooling water preheating circuit is combined with the speed increase signal output of the switch signal, so that the diesel engine will shut down the water diversion after the pressure switch signal at the pump outlet is detected by the rated speed operation system. The switch system is in the unit operation monitoring state and detects the automatic stop signal (the fire alarm signal is cancelled or the cabinet stop button is pressed). Output idle signal will delay output for 3 minutes.
The system program resets the automatic charging device and cooling water preheating device after receiving the automatic stop signal (or fire suppression signal) and executing the stop program.
The working procedure of the unit without automatic water diversion device is basically the same as above. Only the diversion was cancelled.
If multiple units form the main and auxiliary machine system, when the automatic system is working, if the system monitoring fails and stops automatically, it will automatically switch to the auxiliary machine, so that the auxiliary machine can be put into operation automatically. At the same time, the host will output the fault signal.
3. Maintenance of diesel engine fire pump team
The diesel engine fire pump unit must be started once a week, and each load must be carried out under load until the temperature of the diesel engine cooling water reaches the normal working temperature, and the operation time is not less than 30 minutes.
In addition to the above, the following points shall be paid attention to during unit maintenance:
1. Pay attention to the heat insulation of diesel engine and prevent the cold equipment caused by the low water temperature of water pump in cold season. The room temperature shall be maintained above 5 ° C.
2. Before using the battery for the first time, it is appropriate to charge the battery after adding enough battery liquid.
3. Check the starting battery voltage of diesel engine every day.
4. After a period of operation, check the muffler and exhaust pipe to remove carbon deposits and prevent sparks.
5. After a period of operation, check whether the packing seal of the pump is worn and replace it in time if necessary. Check the pump for grease loss.
6. The straightness of the unit shall be tested regularly, because its basic sinking, aging, bearing wear, thermal deformation and structural load change of the building may affect the straightness of the unit.
7. The tank shall be filled as much as possible, but not less than 50% of the tank capacity. When refueling, be sure to remove moisture and impurities.
