1. For the new engine or unused diesel engine fire pump that has been parked for a long time, rotate the crankshaft about 5 turns before starting.

2. Check whether there is enough water in the water tank. If an open cycle cooling system is used, the water source should be connected.

3. Check whether the voltmeter on the control cabinet shows 24V. If it is less than 24 V, the cause of the fault shall be identified in time.

4. Use the manual pump on the fuel pump to inject fuel into the fuel system. At the same time, loosen the vent pin on the fuel pump to remove the air from the fuel system. If there is no more gas to be removed here, tighten the screws. Then continue pumping until the return line returns oil, and then tighten the manual pump.

5. Check whether the components of diesel engine fire pump are normal, whether the accessories are connected reliably, and eliminate the abnormal phenomenon.

6. Check the oil level specified by the oil sump, oil injection pump and governor, and add the same type of oil if there is insufficient.

7. Loosen the high-pressure fuel pipe joint nut on each cylinder injector in turn, place the governor handle at the working position of the diesel engine, rotate the diesel engine, and exhaust the air in each high-pressure fuel pipe.
